This article describes how to set or change the time zone on CentOS Stream 9.<\/p>\n<h4>1.Check current time zone<\/h4>\n<p><code>timedatectl<\/code>\u00a0is a command-line utility that allows you to view and change the system\u2019s time and date. It is available on all modern systemd-based Linux systems:<\/p>\n<pre><strong># timedatectl<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p>The output shows the system\u2019s timezone. Another option to check the timezone is to show the path the symlink points to using the\u00a0<code>ls<\/code> command:<\/p>\n<pre>$ <strong>ls -l \/etc\/localtime<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p>Output:<\/p>\n<pre>lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 35 Dec 16 2022 \/etc\/localtime -&gt; ..\/usr\/share\/zoneinfo\/Europe\/Berlin<\/pre>\n<h4>2. Changing Timezone in CentOS<\/h4>\n<p>Before changing the timezone, you\u2019ll need to find out the long name for the timezone you want to use.
